MANILA, PHILIPPINES—
Today, CONVERSE Inc. announces
the launch of the new Converse CONS KA3, the third signature sneaker with
longtime Converse Skate Ambassador Kenny Anderson. The Converse CONS KA3 was
designed to not only meet the performance demands of skateboarders, but also
for the lifestyle consumer looking for an essential sneaker to wear on their
daily journey.
I’m super excited with
my new CONS KA3,” said Converse CONS skate ambassador Kenny Anderson. “The
silhouette came out looking great and they feel amazing on the board. It’s nice
that they have the same feel when I’m skating a spot, cruising around or just
walking.”
The Converse CONS KA3
stays true to the CONS skateboarding heritage with a classic skateboarding
silhouette, and integrates functional features like CONS traction rubber for
optimal board grip, a drop-in Lunarlon sockliner for cushioning, and a
vulcanized last for superior board feel. The perforated memory foam collar
forms to the foot and provides breathability while the gusseted tongue offers
stability and comfort.
To coincide with the
launch of the Converse CONS KA3, a short film titled “Threes” features Anderson
and celebrates his new signature sneaker with the theme of the number “three”.
The film illustrates the journey through Anderson’s mind as he focuses on
landing a particular three trick line throughout the streets.
The Converse CONS KA3 sneaker is available at Converse retailers nationwide with a rich premium leather silhouette for a suggested retail price Php 4, 950.00.
You never stop learning. …It’s a lifestyle. I’m 29 years deep now into
skateboarding, so I’m not going to stop. Whether we are in the industry
or not— the industry is a bonus, all this other stuff is a bonus. The
act of skateboarding, what it means, what we do, how we have to
rubberneck at spots, how we have to look at everything when we’re
walking, whether you’re with your mother or you girlfriend or whatever.
You have to look at everything, that’s never going to end and that’s
what’s cool about skateboarders; we can all relate in that sense. - Kenny Anderson
